Anime Zero is a Roblox dungeon hack-and-slash RPG from the studio LY*. You roll Arsenal weapons, stack traits and evolutions, then clear rooms of enemies with a two-weapon loadout you can hot-swap mid-fight. What is Anime Zero?

Anime Zero is an anime-styled dungeon crawler on Roblox. Instead of a single ability bar, you carry two Arsenal weapons — a rarity ladder of anime-inspired kits that runs Epic, Legendary, Mythic, Arcane and Lyth (the top tier that older lists still call Zenless) — and you press a key to swap between them when a room goes wrong. Between runs you enchant gear, roll traits, craft accessories and push a skill tree.

Release and updates

The game entered wide release in early October 2026 and has been in active development since, which matters for two reasons: patches arrive frequently, and each patch usually ships at least one new code. That is why the codes list on this site carries a verification timestamp instead of a fixed “updated monthly” label.

Combat in Anime Zero is built around two equipped Arsenal weapons rather than one ability bar. Basic attacks chain into skills, a dodge and a block cover defence, and a single key swaps you to the second weapon mid-fight. That swap is not just an escape: community reporting says switching grants a short damage boost, which is why experienced players rotate weapons inside a room instead of holding one for the whole run.

If Anime Zero feels clunky at first, it is usually the loadout rather than the controls. Two weapons that form a named pair behave very differently from two random picks, and thesynergy list is the fastest way to see which duos actually do something extra.

Progress in Anime Zero runs on three tracks at once: account level, gear quality and the milestone track that pays out as you clear content. Level gates a few codes and some lobby features, gear decides which rooms you can finish at all, and milestones are where a lot of the steady currency comes from early on.

The order that avoids dead ends

The order that avoids dead ends is simple: clear Story until drops stop being upgrades, move to Defend for traits, and only then treat Infinite as a farming loop. Anime Zero rewards clear speed in Infinite, so arriving half-built mostly produces frustration rather than a lucky drop.

Is Anime Zero worth playing right now?

The case for and against

Anime Zero is in active development, which cuts both ways. In its favour: the combat loop is genuinely responsive, the rarity ladder gives you a clear long-term goal, and updates arrive often enough that the meta moves. Against it: expect bugs, balance swings and the occasional feature that is clearly unfinished.

What a new player should do

The practical stance for a new player is to treat the current build as a good time to learn the systems. Claim the Anime Zero codes, learn one weapon pair properly, and do not over-invest in a specific tier position — patches move weapons, and thetier list is edited whenever they do.

How to start Anime Zero

1. Open the game on Roblox and finish the lobby tutorial. Do not spend anything yet.
2. Redeem every working code — the codes page tracks which ones still redeem, and the redeem walkthrough explains the failures you are likely to hit.
3. Roll until your first Legendary, then stop. Enchant it before rolling again; a Legendary with a good trait out-damages an unenchanted Mythic for a long stretch.
4. Clear Story rooms until the drops stop being upgrades, then move to Defend.
5. Check the tier list before you push for Arcane or Zenless — that is where the pity counter starts to matter.

Anime Zero tier list

The tier list ranks weapons and traits by how they actually perform in rooms, not by rarity alone. A Legendary paired with the right synergy partner can beat an Arcane without one, which is why the page lists synergy pairs next to the rankings.

The short version, in the order that avoids dead ends: claim codes, roll one good weapon, enchant it, farm traits in Defend, then chase evolutions such as Cataclysm before you spend anything on Infinite. Infinite rewards scale with how fast you clear rooms, so going in half-built mostly wastes time rather than producing a lucky drop.

Anime Zero updates

The Flame Director update added raids and another step on the rarity ladder, and it is the update most of the current codes belong to. Because the game is still in active development, expect balance changes to move the tier list — this page and the tier list are edited with the patch that changes them rather than on a fixed schedule.
